Hello! As we stated before we have
an interest in war gaming and enjoy collecting military miniatures . This
weekend we are planning to hold a large miniature battle based on the 1943
battle of Kursk in eastern Russia. This
battle was the largest tank battle ever fought involving hundreds of tanks and thousands
of infantry. On this battle field the two armies that clashed were the Russian red army and the mighty German war
machine. When the battle was over the Russians had won a great victory and the
defeated German army would never again go on the offensive against the
Russians

Our battle however does not involve so many men and tanks but is still
large enough. Our battle will involve almost 250 1/72 scale soldiers and 40
tanks plus various assorted assault vehicles such as halftracks, Mg jeeps,
transport trucks and artillery pieces. We have done as much research as we can
on the battle and weapons used. I am commanding
the German army leading my
Panzers deep into Russian territory while my brother commands the red army who
are trying to thwart my attacks.
When the battle is over I am going to post the results so you can fully
understand the scale of the battle. So it’s off to the lead tank with all haste
to see if we can change the course of history and the world…….
