My brother and I enjoy different types of war games. One of our
favorites is paper soldier war gaming . Paper soldier war gaming? What is that?
Well, it is pretty self-explanatory. You can print paper soldiers at the Junior
General website, included in this post. Junior General has war game rules , and
all sorts of soldiers from Roman to modern times. Here are some picture of our
paper soldiers.
Scottish Covenanters |
Royalist Cavalry |
German Motorcycle Troopers |
Paper soldiers are very fun to cut out and
put together. Be sure to use cardstock when printing paper soldiers. It makes
then stand up better.
One thing we like about these soldiers is
that they are easier to store than plastic soldiers, and we can get more
variety.
War games can be of any size from simple
to complex and from any era of time. To play a game the following supplies are
needed: ruler or yardstick to measure length of advancement and range of fire,
dice to decide if the shooting, and an open floor or table.
